Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Lawrence,84, of Lawrence, KS will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Nate Butler officiating. Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday, December 7, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. Burial will follow at Fort Riley cemetery. Mrs. Lawrence passed away November 28, 2009 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Flowers may be sent to Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Sarah was born May 10, 1925 in Augusta County, VA the daughter of Almer and Elizabeth (Scott)Bosserman. She was married to Jewell H. Lawrence of Malta Texas for 53 years.

Sarah was homemaker and caregiver, a loving mother and grandmother, and a prior member of First Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, James D. Crewe, Jr. of Lynchburg, VA, Anita Moske of Lawrence, KS and Ellen Becker of Milford, KS; three grandchildren Steven Bruce of Lawrence, KS, Teresa Teufel of Nickerson, KS and Mica Becker of Manhattan, KS; Two great-grandchildren, Todd Bruce of Lawrence, KS and Mallory Teufel of Nickerson, KS. Sarah is also survived by her brothers, Hugh, Forest, Paul, and Carl Bosserman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jewel, three brothers James , Walter and Dorwood Bosserman, and sister Anna Bosserman.
