Sandra Jo Koppenheffer, 72, of Junction City, KS passed away on April 30, 2019. She gifted her body to the University of Kansas Medical Program for the advancement of the healing arts. Johnson Funeral Home is assisting the family. No services are scheduled at this time.

Sandy was born on March 5, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas to August and Nellie (Kulp) Engstrom. She lived her life in Junction City and graduated from Junction City High School Class of 1965.

She fell in love and married Stephen Koppenheffer in October 1965. Sandy and Steve lovingly raised their family in Junction City. Sandy was a home maker until she decided to pursue a career with USD 475 as an administrative assistant at Junction City High School where she worked until retirement.

Sandy was a loving wife, dedicated mother, adoring grandmother and a newly made great-grandmother. She found her joy through being with her family and friends and caring for her garden.

She is dearly missed.

Sandra is survived by her loving family: husband, Stephen of the home; her two sons, Jeffrey (wife Nikki) Koppenheffer of Junction City, KS, and Roger (wife Donna) Koppenheffer of Highland Village, TX; daughter, Laura (husband Ozzie) Cornejo of Stuttgart, Germany; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; four siblings Judy (husband Terry) Ratliff of Wamego, KS, Clifford (wife Pam) Engstrom of Junction City, KS, Shelia (husband Randy) Cartwright of Junction City, KS, and William (wife Debbie) Engstrom of Kyle, TX; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
