SALVACION P. BANOLA
Salvacion "Sally" P. Banola, 79, of Junction City, died April 23, 2014 at Geary Community Hospital. Sally was born Nov. 30, 1934 on Fort Stotsenburg, in the Philippines (now Clark Air Base), the daughter of Victor & Dominga Palian Banola. She graduated from Angeles City High School in the Philippines. Sally came to the United States and on to Junction City in 1978, and worked for several years as a Nurse's Aide at Geary Community Hospital, and later at Good Samaritan Care Center, and at Enterprise Estates Nursing Center in Enterprise. She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church, and the FilAm Club, a Filipino/American Club.
Sally is survived by her sister, Gloria Pinon and her husband Roger; a niece, Julie Booth and her husband Cary, and their son, Brennan, all of Junction City; a nephew, Joseph Don Fernandez and his wife Luk, Colonial Beach, Virginia; a great nephew Joseph Daniel Fernandez and his friend Dara, Colorado; a great niece Michele; great great nieces Mia and Carmen; a great great nephew Joel; and her caretaker, Theresa Busch, Junction City. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Jesus Banola, Macario Banola, Benjamin Banola, and Dominador Banola; and 3 sisters, Juanita B. Fernandez, Conchita B. Inopea, and Aurora B. Flordeliza.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, with Fr.Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will greet friends at 9:00 a.m., with a rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., Monday, prior to the service, all at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Xavier Catholic Church.
