Sally A. Spooner, 74, of White City, Kansas, passed away on April 26, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. Cremation has taken place and a family led memorial service will take place at First United Methodist Church, 204 W MacKenzie St, White City, KS 66872, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
Sally was born on April 12, 1950, to Jesse and Barbara (Pike) Vose at Bennington, Vermont. Sally was married on June 8, 1968, to George Victor Spooner. Shortly after marrying George, she graduated from Dover High, Dover, New Hampshire.
Being a military spouse, she traveled all over the states and also spent some time in Germany with her family. She found her forever home once her husband retired from the military in White City, Kansas. Her family will always have fond memories in their home.
Sally loved reading, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and of course spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her one daughter, Dawn (John) Laizure; one son, Patrick Spooner; one sister, Barbara Graham; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
Sally is preceded by her loving mother and father; her ex-husband, George Victor Spooner; her life partner, Bobby Williams; one sister, Monica Vose; two brothers, Ralph Vose and William Vose and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to go to the Arthritis Foundation, Diabetes Foundation, and the Heart Association.
