Ryan James Evans, 35, of Junction City passed away at Geary Community Hospital after a long illness on April 25, 2010. No services are planned at this time cremation will take place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Memorial contributions have been designated to the Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS 66441.
Ryan was born January 31, 1975, Winamac, IN to Charles R. and Linda K. (Talbott) Evans, Jr. He attended Fort Riley and Junction City Schools from sixth to eleventh grade. He graduated from Frankfort, Germany American High School in 1993.
Ryan was a Visual Merchandiser for The Army-Air Force Exchange Services at Fort Riley and had also worked as a cook for Cracker Barrel and Sam's Pub in Junction City and also at the Olive Garden in Olympia, WA.
He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Evans, sister, Stacy Evans and nephew, Gavin Evans all of Junction City, KS, grandmothers; Ruth Talbott of Kewanna, IN and Dorothy Crawford of Bellevue, NE, several aunts, uncles and cousins and his special friends, Larkin, Teresa and Kelvin Turner.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather's, Simon Talbott and Charles Evans, Sr. and his Uncle's Jim Talbott and Tommy Talbott, all formerly of Kewanna, IN.
