Ruth Myrl Anderson

Funeral Services for Ruth Myrl Anderson, 93, Junction City will be 2:00pm Friday, April 6, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Reverend James Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson passed away Wednesday April 4, 2007 at Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Memorial Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 624 North Jefferson, Junction City, KS 66441.



Ruth was born March 22, 1914 in the Upland Community of Dickinson County, the daughter of Charlie and Lettie (Norman) Peterson. She attended school in Upland and graduated from Chapman High School in 1933.



She Married Glen Anderson August 8, 1965 in St. Joseph, MO. He preceded her in death September 27, 1998.



Mrs. Anderson worked as a sales clerk for many years in Junction City.



She professed her faith as a teenager and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction City, joining in 1973.



Mrs. Anderson was also preceded in death by three brothers, Victor Peterson, Harold Peterson and Dale Peterson, and one sister Hulda Peterson Cowen.



Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
