Ruth M. Booker

Graveside inurnment services for Ruth M. Booker, 87, Junction City, KS will be 11a.m., Friday, March 17, 2006 at Fort Riley Cemetery with Rev. Victor Force officiating. No visitation is planned. Mrs. Booker passed away March 12, 2006 at Valley View Professional Care Center. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Ruth was born January 31, 1919 the daughter of Henry and Katie (Wilcox) Lawrence. She was a homemaker. She was married to Edward L. Booker May 21, 1939 in Palmyra, MO, he preceded her in death July 3, 2005.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Collins of Fresno, CA; Janice McQuay, Junction City, KS, and Jo Ellen DePoy of Glen Elder, KS, one son, Russell Booker of Wichita, KS; f ive sisters, Martha Dansart of Rock Springs, WY, Margaret Blevins of Macomb, ILL, Barbara Toetper, Girad, ILL, Joyce Derry of Macomb Ill, and Sharon Gamage of Pekin ILL; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
