Ruth A. Esterly, 87, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on December 24, 2016 at Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan Kansas. Dove Cremation & Funeral Service of Junction City, Kansas, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. A private family service will be held at a later date.
She was born on January 31, 1929, Ludwigsburg, Germany to Eugen and Anna Schon. On April 2, 1972 she married James Esterly, and they lived in Milford, Kansas.
Ruth is survived by her Three Daughters, Patty (Blane) Riddick of Wakefield, KS, Christa M. (Frank) Decorah of Milford, and Roswitha (Klaus) Breitling of Heilbronn, Germany; Four Sons, Frank (Sandra) Esterly of Manhattan, KS, James L. (Rachelle) Esterly of Belle Plaine, KS, Jürgen (Brigite) Ackermann of Heilbronn, Germany, and Uwe (Jasmine) Ackermann of Heilbronn, Germany; and her Brother, Willi (Sonya) Schon of Ludwigsburg, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Esterly, Father, Eugen Schon, Mother, Anna Schon, and Step-Mother, Maria Schon.
