Services for Ruth E. Johnson, 87, of Topeka, KS (Formerly of Junction City, KS will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, Thursday December 12, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Levi Kickhaefer will officiate. Ruth died December 8, 2002 at Rolling Hills Health Care, Topeka, KS. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2002, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chape. Burial will be at Marion Hill Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church ELCA, 212 N. Eisenhower, Junction City, Kansas 66441. Ruth was born October 18, 1915, at Dwight,KS to Albin and Ellen (Tysell) Johnson Education: Ruth graduated from White City High School in 1933. She married Alvin B. Johnson June 17, 1936 at Marion Hill Lutheran Church, near White City, Kansas.Ruth was a homemaker. She also ran a business of delivering
circulars for local businesses, out of her home for 20 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church Charter Member. Survivors: Two Sons: Alvin Dean Johnson, of Topeka, KS, and David Joel Johnson of Overland Park, KS; Two Sisters: Esther "Lynn" Gauntt of Junction City, KS, and Ruby Williams of Tucson, AZ; Five Grandchildren, and Four Great-Grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Parents; Husband; Two Brothers: David J. Roy and Russell Roy; and
One Son: Eugene R. Johnson. Casket bearers: John Gauntt, Bryan Gauntt, Scott Johnson, Jeff Goodnow, David Perez, and Eric Newell. Organist will be Sally Jardine and Vocalist will be Mary Holvorson.
