Rosemary Margaret Smith

November 4, 1958 — October 19, 2021

Rosemary "Rosie" Margaret Smith, 62, of Junction City, KS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 19, 2021. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Johnson Funeral Home.

Rosie was born on November 4, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Junction City High School. She was a proud member of the Junction City Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, American Legion and the VFW. Rosie was an exceptionally hard worker, phenomenal cook and loved serving people whether it be as a bartender, caregiver or friend. She was a fun-loving, free spirit that never met a stranger; always generous and eager to help.

Rosie enjoyed traveling and lived many places from coast to coast, but the last 25 years at Junction City, Kansas was where she put down roots. She treasured her many close friends and considered them family.

Rosie is survived by Roy Vaughn, of the home, children Jennifer Watskey (Tyler) of Rogersville, MO, Marie Chafin (Jimmy) of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister Carole Epperson, brothers Tom Dukeman, Fred Dukeman and Bobby Dukeman; grandchildren, Robert Crites, Katelyn Crites and Brock Watskey; great grandson Phoenix Baez-Crites; numerous friends and family; and of course, Buster, furbaby.

Rosie is preceded in death by Terry Smith; parents, Rosemary and John Wright and Thomas Dukeman; and brother Joey Dukeman.
