Graveside services for Rose M. Nelson 96 will be 10:30am Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Milford Cemetery with Rev. Todd Britt officiating. Rose passed away July 3, 2008 at Clay Center Medical Center. No visitation is planned. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
She married Floyd Nelson January 12, 1934 who preceded her in death in 1956.
She lived in Junction City for many years and worked for Duckwall Stores and Keintz IGA. She then moved to Wakefield which is where she lived until the time of her death.
Rose Nelson is survived by 3 children, Floyd "Gene" Nelson, Salina, Karen Wells, Manhattan, and Sharon Babst, Wakefield.
She has 6 grandchildren, Brian Babst, Longford, Troy Babst, Wakefield, Lisa Tindal, Riley, Shelby Frigon, Overland Park, Tricia Dunlop, West Point New York and Peggy Jean Long, Guthrie, Oklahoma.
She has 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Clay County Home Health Agency, 820 Spellman Circle, Clay Center, KS. 67432.
