Funeral services for Ronnie C. Ashley, 51, of Junction City, will be Friday, March 24, 2006, 2 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue with Pastor Song of the Korean United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt. Mr. Ashley passed away at Geary Community Hospital on March 20, 2006. Mr. Ashley was born June 28, 1954 to Clay and Geneva (Thompson) Ashley. He served with the Tennessee National Guard before enlisting in the U S Army working with the Military Housing Authority as an inspector. He left the Army after 12 years of service due to medical reasons but continued his position as an inspector. Mr. Ashley was part owner of the Sunshine Oriental Restaurant and the Goldenbelt Apartments both in Junction City, KS. He married Sun Pok Youn May 8, 1998, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include, his mother Geneva of Lynchburg, TN, two daughters, Lovina Kelly of Clarksville, TN and Yuna "Asia" Clanton of Junction City, KS, one son, Otis "Jr." Clanton of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers, Kenneth Ashley of Winchester Springs, TN and Ricky Ashley of Lynchburg, TN, three sisters, Patty Pals of Montana, Linda Nippers of Lynchburg, TN and Wilma Jensen of Nashville, TN and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife Barbara and one brother, Lincoln "Hoss" Ashley.
Pallbearers will be William Kelly,Gary Tolle, James Sitterle, Gene E. Pageler, Patrick Kutei, Raymond Higgins, Gerald Gerloff, Marvin Springer.
