Ronald Nix

Funeral Services for Ronald Lee Nix, 25 of Junction City will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 9:00 am until the time of service at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Mr. Nix passed away on December 10, 2010 at Irwin Army Community Hospital.

Ronald was born on May 24, 1985 in Junction City, Kansas to Sonja Cottingham and Douglas McDonald, Sr. He later was a caregiver for home healthcare.

He is survived by his parents, Sonja & Jerry Cottingham of Junction City and Douglas & Ebony McDonald, Sr of Columbus, OH. A daughter, Taija Nix, two sons, Ronnail & Romeo Nix all of Junction City. Four brothers, Delantis Hairston, Richard Greene, Joshua Hariston all of Junction City and Douglas McDonald, Jr of Columbus, OH. Two sisters, Danielle McDonald of Denver, CO and Brianna McDonald of Columbus, OH. Two grandmothers Debra Johnson, aka "Mom" of Junction City and C. Crawley of AZ. A host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ronald was preceded in death by two aunts, Lavette Nix and Towana Rhyne. Great-Grandmother Delores Rhyne and a great-great grandmother Bennie Hurst.
