Roberta Sanders, 68 of Junction City, Kansas passed away on June 24, 2003 at her residence. Services will be at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Junction City. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. There were no memorials designated.
She was born January 23, 1935 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Johnny and Amy Kemp Mitchell. She was married to Horace Sanders on October 2, 1952. He survives.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Denison, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Horace Sanders, Junction City, KS; One Son: John E. Sanders of Wilmington, North Carolina; Two Daughters: Marsha White and Venus Sanders, both of Junction City, KS.; Two Brothers: Luther Mitchell of Waco, TX. and Sam Wesley Mitchell of Zanesville, OH. Six Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren.
