Robert D. Starks, 77, of Junction City, passed away on September 13, 2013, in Junction City. He was born March 10, 1936, in Columbus, Indiana.
Robert met the love of his life, Sally, while deployed in Korea. They were married in Korea on June 12th, 1972. They spent over 41 wonderful years together as husband and wife. Unable to do many outdoor activities due to his illness, he greatly enjoyed watching television. He was known by all as a quiet but kind man, with a good and caring heart.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Sally, of the home; a son, Robert Starks, Jr. and wife Maria of Seattle, WA; as well as three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel in Junction City.
Services will be held to celebrate Robert's life at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel in Junction City. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Manhattan, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends and loved one to make a donation in Robert's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
