Robert R. "Bob" Hilterbrand, 68, of Junction City, KS passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Geary Community Hospital. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Junction City. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Road, Junction City, KS 66441.
Bob was born April 29, 1947, the son of Ralph "Hildy" and Betty Jean (Mass ) Hilterbrand.
Bob graduated from the Junction City High School class of 1965. He attended KSU and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He served in the United States Army from July 1967 until June of 1969. Bob owned and operated Jean Junction in Junction City from the 1970's to the 1980's. He spent many years working in the sales and marketing field and most recently for Feldkamps Furniture Store. Bob was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. Bob enjoyed water skiing and was an avid hunter. Bob was one of a kind and will be missed by many friends and family.
Bob married Vickie Connors August 23, 1997, in Junction City, KS. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Julie DeVolder and husband Mark of Shawnee, KS; Wendy Rogers and husband Steve of Meriden, KS; one step-son, Daniel Connors and his wife Sarah of Gardner, KS; two step-daughters, Diane Johnson and her husband Jeff of Houston, TX, and Michelle Rogers and her husband Jade of Taneytown, MD. He is survived by his father Ralph E. "Hildy" Hilterbrand of Junction City, KS and one sister Vicki Allen and her husband Bill of Weidman, MI and nine grandchildren.
