Robert H. "Bob" Miller, 81, of Junction City, died April 28, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Manhattan. Bob was born Nov. 15, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Leo & Edna Lang Miller. Bob attended school in Kansas City and was an engine mechanic, working on both industrial and farm equipment for many years. He worked for Western Construction and helped build Milford Dam. He worked at Ft. Riley when he retired. He had lived in Junction City since 1962, moving here from Kansas City.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Jon Miller, and Steve Miller and his wife Traci, all of Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Alena Mudd, Junction City; a step-daughter, Vickie Carrier, Junction City; a brother, Bill Miller, Raymore, Mo.; a sister, Lucille "Toots" Posey, Texas; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors who were like family to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, a sister, and his companion, Trudy Stamper.
At Bob's request, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Junction City.
