Robert M. Hicks

Robert M. "Bob" Hicks, 61, of Junction City, KS died on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center. Cremation will take place. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Bob was born June 7, 1960, in Junction City, KS, the son of Carl Don and Darlene Gladys (Draper) Hicks.

Bob graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 1979. He served in the United States Army during Desert Storm. Bob worked for over twenty years as a sales representative for Home Lumber in Junction City. He enjoyed tinkering and auto mechanics. He was a master of taking things apart and putting them back together.

He married Rita Quick on July 4, 1998 in Junction City, KS.

Survivors include his wife Rita of the home in Junction City, KS; one daughter, Rita Marie Quick and her partner Stephanie Kolibas both of Hamilton, NJ; one son, Daniel Lee Quick of Junction City, KS; one granddaughter, Anya Saree Quick; two brothers, Alan Hicks of Junction City, KS and Gerald Hicks of Herington, KS; one sister, Nancy Pennington of FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Hicks.
