Orland "Riley" Pope, Jr., 91, of Milford, KS passed away on November 22, 2015 at Meadowlark Hills, Manhattan, KS. No visitation is planned. A private family burial will take place at Milford Cemetery.
He was born on March 12, 1924, Long Beach, California to and Orland and Thea M. (Porter) Pope, Sr.
Riley served in the U S Air Force during WWII from March 12, 1942 to December 3, 1945. Following his time in the service he was sales manager and marketing director for Mark Twain Boat Manufacturing, West Frankfort, IL company for 19 years and then had various jobs throughout his life, he retired in 1989.
On March 12, 1942 he married Betty L. Doyle she preceded him in death November 13, 2008.
Riley is survived by his loving Daughter, Katherine (Tim) Wunder of Milford, KS; his son, Dan (Judy) Pope of TX; his daughter, Chris (Johnny) Johnson of MO; his daughter, Cheriee (Bob) Wiggins of GA, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James D. Pope and a sister, Bonnie and his grandson, Adam M. McElwee
