Richard Lawrence Clark, Sr., 83, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on October 18, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, Missouri.
-Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, Kansas 66441.
-Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016, 11:00 am at the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Road, Junction City, Kansas, with Pastor Eric VonSpreckelsen officiating.
-Interment will follow the Funeral Service, at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Road, Manhattan, Kansas, with full military honors.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Road, Junction City, Kansas 66441.
Richard was born on May 15, 1933, Bradford, Pennsylvania to Harold and Frances (Vandermark) Clark.
On November 20, 1954 he married Hildegard Reusch in Nurnberg, Germany; for many years they lived in Junction City, Kansas. Richard retired from the Army in 1980 after serving for more than 20 years. He also worked several years for the City of Junction City as a Street Maintenance Technician, and at Dillons in the Floral and Pharmacy departments.
Richard loved to frequent Coach's Bar and Grill, and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, K-State Wildcats, and K.C. Royals. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Richard is survived by his Two sons; Richard (Carrie) Clark, Jr. of Mandan, ND, Jeffery (Kim) Clark, Sr. of Junction City; Two daughters; Linda Caraballo of Junction City and Anita Cosme of San Antonio, TX; Seven grandchildren, Miguel A. (Jenny) Caraballo Jr., Elisabeth Caraballo, Joel (Veronica) Cosme, Jr., Xiomara (Chris) Buchhorn, Jeffery D. (Amanda) Clark, Jr., Chelsea Clark and Schylar Clark; Thirteen Great-grandchildren, Blake, Colton, and Cayden Buchhorn, Trevon Alvarez, Israel Canwell, Judah and Josiah Caraballo, Maria Bermudez-Saavedra, Kaydence, Haylee, Tyler, Dammarion, and Karissa Clark; Two sisters, Gloria Whitman and Pat Vanderhoff; One sister-in-law, Helen Brooks; and many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hildegard Clark, parents, Harold & Frances Clark, and sister, Phyllis Fisher.
