Services for Rhiney Riffel, 90, of Junction City, KS will be held at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, Thursday, January 23, 2003, 2:00 p.m. Pastor G. Edmond Thomas of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Rhiney died January 20, 2003 at Valley View Professional Care Center in Junction City, KS. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2003, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery,Woodbine, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-9865 and/or The Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Topeka Chapter, P.O. Box 1427, Topeka, KS 66601. Rhiney wasborn January 25, 1912, Woodbine, KS to Jacob and Ollie (Longhoefer) Riffel. He graduated from Woodbine High School in 1930. He married Doris Brehm, August 3,1935, Kansas City, MO, she preceded him in death March 3, 1987, he later married Mildred Soyez in 1990, she survives of the home. Rhiney had worked for Standard Oil Company in Woodbine, KS, he also farmed. He became a resident of Junction City, KS in 1960, he worked as a Car Dealer. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and a past member of the Elks Lodge, Eagles and the Lions Club. He is survived by: One Son: Thomas Riffel of Jonesboro, GA, One Daughter: Judy Langvardt of Bridgeton, MO, One Sister: Lavina Fick of Abilene, KS, Six grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Four Brothers: Edward, Johnathan, Emery and Solomon, Three Sisters: Susie, Esther and Ruth, One Daughter; Joan Elizabeth (in infancy)Casket bearers: Dave Langvardt, Mike Langvardt, Bryan Riffel, Brandon Riffel, Jacob
