(Rev.) Joe Franklin Mobley, 86, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on December 25, 2023, at Stormont Vail - Flint Hills Campus.
Joe was born on October 1, 1937, to Joe Jackson and Dessie (Huffman) Mobley in their home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was the eldest of six brothers and one sister. Joe would have the best stories about his childhood in Oklahoma and would make sure to tell his family about them.
In 1961, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served honorably for two years. After 1963, he worked on various farms and ranches while dating his future wife. In 1965, he finally married the love of his life, spending 58 years of marriage together.
Joe always found peace in his faith. He led church services even before his military service and continued through during his lifetime. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; one daughter, Karen Mobley-Anderson of Chico, California; two sons, Phillip (Tammy) Mobley of Wakefield, Kansas and Rodney (Barbara) Mobley of Lemoore, California; three brothers, Donald, Jerry, and Bill; one sister, Hilda; six grandchildren, Lori, Jennifer, Kristopher, Joe, Courtney, Molly and eleven great-grandchildren.
