Rebecca (Becky) Corinne Keating, 29, Junction City, KS, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2019, at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City. Fr. Kyle Berens, Fr. Kerry Ninemire and others will concelebrate. Cremated remains will be buried at St. Mary's Cemetery following the memorial mass. A visitation will be held 5 to 7 PM Friday, July 19, 2019, with the vigil service and recitation of the rosary at 6:30 PM at St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Rebecca (Becky) Corinne Keating was born on January 22, 1990, to Jeff and Joan (Mulligan) Keating. She was the oldest sister to Lené, Kim, Josh, and Jacob Keating.
Becky attended St. Xavier Catholic School from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in 2008. Becky attended and graduated from Benedictine College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2012. In the ensuing years, Becky discovered a love of working with the St. Xavier high school youth group as their youth group minister.
Becky was passionate about life. She loved God, family, friends, and she loved helping others find their way on the spiritual path of life. Becky believed with absolute certainty that "If God brings you to it, God sees you through it."
Becky is survived by her parents, Jeff and Joan (Mulligan) Keating; her sisters, Lené and Kim; her brothers, Josh and Jacob; her paternal grandmother, Marcena Keating; her uncles and aunts, Jim and Michelle (Hulett) Keating, John and Kaylyn (McGee) Keating, Shawn and Jacki (Keating) Diederich; her maternal grandparents, Milton (Mike) and Mary Ann Mulligan; aunts, Jane Mulligan and Caroline (Mulligan) Knickerbocker; and 14 cousins.
Becky was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Francis Keating; her uncle and aunt, Mark and Judy (Keating) Allen; and her uncle Gerald Mulligan.
In lieu of flowers, Becky asked for all donations to be made in her name to the Dream Factory.
