Ray Wesley Myers, 72, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Road, Manhattan, KS 66503.
Ray was born December 18, 1944, in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Kenneth and Ruby (Murphy) Myers.
Ray served twenty years in the United States Army. After his retirement, he worked as a Chef at Kansas State University. He was a Mason for thirty three years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed riding dirt bikes.
He married Saengchun "Sandy" Myers December 3, 1979. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Kenny Johnson of Junction City, KS; two daughters, Vanda Johnson-Todd of Stockbridge, GA, Elita Johnson-Cruz of Bedford, NH; one brother, Wayne Myers; one sister, Jane Russ; his mother Ruby Myers all of Pfafftown, NC; five grandchildren, Kindell, D'Marcus, Cameren, Elijah and Luis.
