Ralph Martin, Jr., 85, of Junction City passed away on April 5, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Cremation has taken place and burial with military honors will take place at Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10 a.m.
Mr. Martin was born May 1, 1926 in Junction City to Ralph A. and Bessie E. (Durbon) Martin. He
served in the U. S. Navy as a Fireman, First Class, during World War II. He worked in the family
business, Durbon Furniture Store, for many years and also worked as a salesman for Coates Chevroletand Jim Clark Chevrolet.
He married Clarice C. Bettis of Abilene, Ks. in 1950 at First United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death in 2007.
He is survived by his son Bradford J. Martin and his wife Susan of Litchfield, Ct., his sister Denise Weed of Junction City, and his three grandchildren: Air Force Lieutenant Jonathan Martin and his wife Barbara ("Bobbie") of Pensacola, Fl., Abigail Martin and Tess Martin, both of Litchfield, Ct.
