Rafael “Jay” Rivera Jr., 28, of Junction City, KS passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Jay was born September 8, 1993, in Eschenbach, Germany, the son of Luz and Rafael Rivera.
Jay has a son “Josiah” which was the shining light of his life; he was deeply committed to spending time with Josiah and showing him pure love, those who knew Jay, even just a little saw the most beautiful smile on his face.
Jay enjoyed spending time with his younger brother Daniel and being the perfect loving son to Mami and Papi.
Jay had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City, KS. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. prior to the the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City, KS. Burial will follow the funeral service at Milford Cemetery.
