Rachel L. Carez
Graveside inurnment services for Rachel L. Carez, 86, of Junction City will be Tuesday, September 6, 2005, 10 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Wakefield, KS with Pastor Ross Kirk officiating. Mrs. Carez passed away at Geary Community Hospital on August, 31, 2005. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Mrs. Carez was born December 4, 1918, Wakefield, KS to Forast and Gladys (Schmutz) Beal. She married Charles Carez in 1942, Junction City, KS. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She worked as a Administrative Assistant for the State of California Department of Architecture. Following her retirement she moved back to Wakefield around 1990 where she resided until moving to the Alterra Sterling House in Junction City.
She is survived by one brother, Jack Beal and wife Shirley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and one sister, Aileen DeBruce and husband Archie of Ulysses, KS.
