Pollie M. Wiseman

Funeral services for Pollie M. Wiseman, 72, Junction City who lost her battle with breast cancer will be 10:00am Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel 203 N. Washington, with Pastor Carol Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Pollie passed away October 16, 2008 at Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday October 20, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, MO 64105.

Pollie was born August 19, 1936 in Marlinton, WV, the daughter of George W. and Nancy L. (Lane) Blake.She worked for many years as a seamstress for Mobile Traveler. She married Orville S. Wiseman April 2, 1958 in Covington,VA. He preceded her in death March 17, 1990. Also preceded in death her parents numerous brothers and sisters, and one son Lacie A. Wiseman.

Survivors include, one son Orville Wiseman, Jr. and his wife Jan of Jackson MS, daughters, Frances Wetmore and husband Ron of Gulfport, MS, Nancy Kozlowski and husband Edward, Jr. of Chapman, KS, Sheryl Wiseman of Emporia, KS, two younger sisters Annabelle and Violet of Marlinton, WV, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Surviving in the home is her companion Olin Wood.
