Pok Kum Baulding, 70, of Junction City, died July 11, 2015 at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City. Pok was born April 18, 1945 in Koche-Kun, Kyongnam-do, South Korea, the daughter of Tae Ok and Kum Ye (Yi) Chong.
Pok married Dwight Baulding in Seoul, Korea on Aug. 12, 1975. Because Dwight was in the U.S. Army, they were stationed later at Ft. Polk, LA in 1976; and later in Germany from Aug. 1977-1980; then to Ft. Jackson, SC from 1980-1981; and later to Korea from 1981-1982; and finally to Ft. Benning, GA. Dwight served as a U.S. Army Recruiter in Kansas City, Mo. in 1984-1988. Dwight and Pok then moved to Junction City in 1988 and she worked as a cook and waitress at Pusan's Restaurant, and later at the Seoul and 4 Season's Restaurants.
Pok was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Junction City, and she received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on Jan 23, 2007.
Survivors include: her husband, Dwight, of the home; a brother and sister in Korea; and her church family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Faith Tabernacle, with Pastor Nathan Dudley presiding. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the church, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley, Manhattan at 1:00 p.m., also on Monday, July 20.
