Funeral services for Perry David Sharp, Jr., 46, of Milford, KS will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Junction City High School Shenk Gym with Father Dale Plummer officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 6-8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Cremation will take place following the services on Thursday. Mr. Sharp passed away at Geary Community Hospital on February 28, 2009. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Perry Sharp Medical Fund, c/o Central National Bank.

Perry was born June 22, 1962, Fort Smith, AR to Perry David Sharp, Sr. and Mary Louise Nalley. He was a graduate of the College of the Ozarks with a degree in Pre-med. He married Melissa D. Morris April 22, 1989, Tulsa, OK. He owned P & M Sharp Sales which is a Manufacturing Distribution Company for hunting and sporting goods. Perry was also a member of the Kansas Collegiate Officials Association and the Supervisor of the officials for the Kansas Collegiate Association Conference. He will be inducted into the Kansas Collegiate Officials Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 8, 2009, Wichita, KS. Perry was a great man and loved by all that knew him and he will be missed so much by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Melissa and 10 year old son Paxton Cade both of Milford, KS, sons; Joshua Sharp of Tulsa, OK, Jeremiah and Mandy Sharp, two grandchildren; Megan and Braxton Sharp all of Fort Smith, AR, his brother; Warren Sharp of VanBuren, AR, his father; Perry David Sharp, Sr. and his wife Susie of Mountainburg, AR and his mother; Mary Louise and her husband John Paddy of Fort Smith, AR.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be B J Moore, Rodney Dickins, Rodney Palen, Michael Oplotnik, Rick O'Neil and John Simmons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Kansas Collegiate Officials Association and Meredith Grusing, Ed Egan, Monty Applebee, Mike Santilli, Kurt McAfee, Mark Goodheart, Bennie Lee and Danny Brewer.
