Pauline Ray

Pauline Ray, 90, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living in Junction City.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Timothy McCall officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2025 at Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church 630 S. Eisenhower Avenue Junction City, Kansas 66441.

Pauline was born February 26, 1934, in Great Bend, Kansas the daughter of Edward and Charlotte (Dumler) Karst.

On August 28, 1955, she married Robert H. Ray in Hoisington, Kansas. He passed away November 5, 2007.

Early in her career, she worked as a phone operator in Hoisington, Kansas. After moving to Junction City, she owned and operated Ray's Retail Liquor Store in Junction City, Kansas. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren very much. 

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Potter and her husband Arthur of Junction City, Kansas; three grandchildren; Rhonda Tagtow, Lee Potter and Matthew Ray; and six great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Ray; son, James Ray; two brothers, Clayton Karst and Paul Gene Karst; and one sister, Isabelle Dumler.
