Pauline Garcia Garza, 78, of Junction City, KS passed away on November 27, 2017 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is assisting family with private services followed by cremation.
Private family inurnment is scheduled at a later date.
Pauline was born on June 30, 1939, in Lockhart, Texas to Raphael and Bartola (Hasso) Garcia. As a young girl she moved with her family to Corpus Christi, TX where she spent her youth and young adult life. There she met her future husband, Bennie Garza. They married in 1956. They began their family with a son, Mike, in Tulia, TX. They moved to several locations finally settling in Johnson, Kansas. There they raised their family there until the children went their separate ways. After Bennie's passing in 1994, she moved to be closer to her children in Junction City, KS. She lived there until her passing.
She was a devoted mother, loving wife, and dedicated grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be dearly missed.
Pauline is survived by her loving family: her five sons, Rudy (Rodney) Garza of Harlingen, TX, Ruben (Shirely) Garza of Escondido, CA, Richard (Rainee) Garza of Abilene, KS, Dannie Garza of Salina, KS, and John P. (Melissa) Garza of Solomon, KS; one daughter, Julie A. (Mindy Stinnett) Garza of Junction City, KS; thirteen grandchildren Hope M. Garza, Bennie Garza, Trinity Garza, John P. Garza II, Ruth Marie Garza, Jeremy R. Garza, Deanna Nueberger, Dion B. Nueberger, Sheryann Blanco, Sherylenn Blanco, Daniel Thompson Garza, Marrissa Thompson Patton, and Christopher Muños; multiple great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Castillo Garza Sr., parents Bartola and Raphael Garcia, two sons Mike and Bennie Jr. Garza, two daughters Ruth M. Neuberger and Silvia Garza, and one grandchild Shelly Neuberger.
