Graveside services for Orville Thomas McDonald,92, Kimberling City, MO formerly of Junction City, KS will be 10:00am Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Highland Cemetery with Rev. James Callaway officiating. Mr. McDonald passed away May 1, 2009 in Hollister, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline, Junction City, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church 624 N. Jefferson, Junction City, KS 66441.
Orville was born May 17, 1916 in Junction City, KS the son of Clarence Harvey and Flora (Kessinger) McDonald. He attended schools in Junction City. Orville lived all of his life in Junction City before moving to Missouri. He was self employed, owning McDonald's Construction, McDonald Transfer Freight Business and was in the Retail Liquor Business for over 20 years.
He married Dorothy W. Kidd, April 18, 1937. She preceded him in death August 29, 1982. He married Lillian Newman on January 7, 1984.
Survivors include wife Lillian McDonald, Chapman Valley Manor, son Orville Mason McDonald and wife Linda, Kimberling City, MO., sisters Betty Lee McKaig, Junction City, KS, and Wilma J. Woodward, Newcastle,DE; four grandchildren, 2 Great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and four sisters, a daughter Marjorie Ann in infancy, and grandson Kelly.
