A service will be held to celebrate Omar's life at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 10th, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel at 805 Caroline Avenue in Junction City, KS.
Omar Lazar Branch, 41, of Manhattan, KS, departed this life on January 30th, 2014 at his home in Manhattan. He was born August 9th, 1972, in Bronx, NY, to parents Voyka Diggs and Jesse James Branch.
Omar had an infectious personality, and would go the extra mile for anyone he met.
The world and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity lost a great son, husband, father, brother, and friend in Omar. Omar was loved by all who came in contact with him, because of his infectious attitude and a drive to achieve all understanding with everyone. Omar left us way too soon, however the memories and friendship will be with each of us for eternity as it extends beyond the grave.
Omar is survived by his wife Alishyante Branch and his children, Ijaz Branch, Imon Branch, Iniyah Branch, Imara Branch and one unborn child. He is survived by his mother, Voyka Diggs, and his father, Jesse James Branch. He is survived by his siblings, Adrienne Hill, Allan Hill, Mylles Branch, Andre Diggs, Vanna Diggs, Alacia Diggs-Englacias, Leandre Diggs, Cydney Diggs, Denisia Walker, Larry Walker and Karuma Kaba.
