Octavia O. Crenshaw (Bowers), age 84, departed this world on August 13, 2021, at Valley View Senior Living, Junction City, Kansas. She was born in Louisiana, Missouri, on February 18, 1937, to Muriel V. and Etna Marie (Dennis) Bowers.
She was married to Jerry Ray Crenshaw on Feb 28, 1961, in Hannibal, Missouri. During his military service, they resided in Hannibal, Missouri, and Corpus Christi (Flour Bluff), Texas. They moved to Junction City, Kansas in January 1974.
Octavia moved to Valley View Senior Living in November 2018. She spent many happy hours playing bingo and loved to show off the treasures she won. She adored the staff and they adored her.
She is survived by her children: John (Doris) Reed, Ruby Davis, Jerry (Lana) Crenshaw, Jr. and Rebecca Crenshaw, all of Junction City, Kansas. Her grandchildren Shannon Harris, Michael (Elizabeth) Davis, James (Schera) Davis, Jonathon Zettler, Christopher Zettler, Jennifer (Tiffany) Crenshaw, Stephen Zettler Crenshaw, Aaron (Addison) Davis, Krystina Crenshaw, Kayleen (Gunnar) Richards, and Trevor Crenshaw. Her great grandchildren Chase Harris, Isaiah Harris, Hannah Harris, Christian Zettler, Hailey Zettler, Kelci Harrison-Davis, Addison Davis, Ava Zettler, Dylan Zettler, Vivian Davis, Penelope Davis, Camille Davis, Michael Crenshaw, Zayden Richards, Conner Crenshaw, Micha Crenshaw, Ethan Crenshaw and Breelynn Crenshaw. Her great-great granddaughter Sophia Harris. Her sisters Ruby Taylor and Katie Epperson and her brother Lowell Dennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law David Davis, and her granddaughter-in-law Angela Zettler.
Octavia chose cremation and her ashes will be spread per her wishes. There is no service planned.
