Norma Jean (Bell) Horner, 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Chapman Valley Manor.
Norma was born September 24, 1926, in Osborne, KS, to Ruby and Alice Lydia (Rants) Bell. She graduated from Junction City High School, Class of 1944.
Norma married Andrew Jack Horner on September 3, 1948 at Zion United Church of Christ in Junction City, where she was a member.
Norma worked at B&K News and then was a homemaker staying at home to raise her family. She returned to work at Waters Tru Value until retirement.
Norma belonged to and volunteered for PTA, EEU Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, Red Cross, Geary County election worker and a past member of Gamma Phi Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Service Sorority. Norma's passion was sewing and craft-making, cookie baking, her grandchildren and her cat, Thomas.
She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy (Mark) Roeser, Sherry Boyer; three granddaughters, Bethany (David) McAllister, Jessica (Travis) Sawyer, Kari Alice Roeser; three great-grandsons, Jackson Sawyer, Maxwell Sawyer, Harley Boyer; one sister, Naida Sanders, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; one sister, Nila Filby; and grandson, Aaron Boyer.
