Nona Faye Decker, 77, of Milford, KS, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, KS. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Junction City, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital.
Nona was born May 12, 1939, the daughter of Melvin D. and Dorsey (Epley) Taylor.
Nona worked as a telephone operator at Fort Riley. She later worked as a Dental Secretary at Fort Sam Houston, TX and as a Docent at the San Antonio Zoo. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and stained glass. Nona also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for animals.
She married Larry G. Decker May 8, 1982, in Naples, Italy.
Survivors include her husband Larry G. Decker of Milford, KS; two sons, Nelson Scott Rich and John Mark Rich and his wife Jennifer all of Junction City, KS; six grandchildren, Nelson Scott Rich II, Tiffany Lynn Rich, Lisa Marie Clark, Taylor Faye Rich, Jessica Marie Rich and John Mark Rich II; six great-grandchildren, her Daughter-in-Law, Marsha Rich of Junction City, KS. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Ronald Rich; her parents and three brothers and her Son-in-Law, Joe Nisil
