Funeral Services for Nick Salido Sazon will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Al Brungardt officiating. A visitation will be held starting at 9 a.m. until time of service at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Cremation will follow the service.
Mr. Sazon was born October 22, 1928, in Negros, Philippines the son of Teofilo and Juliana (Salido) Sazon.
Nick was an accountant at the Guam Commercial Point on Cabras Island. He also worked as an administrative assistant for the Computer Science Corporation. He graduated from the University of Guam with a degree in art.
He married Agueda Sazon on August 20, 1960 in Guam. She survives of the home in Junction City.
Other Survivors include his children, Leticia Mae Flores, Norman Lee Sazon and Nora Emily Vazquez all of Junction City, Vera June Ettleman of Las Vegas, NV., Alina Sue Aphayaraj of Camarillo, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Devin O'Neal, Lauren O'Neal, Craig Ettleman, Jr., Keilanie Ettleman, Alisen Aphayaraj, Nikolas Aphayaraj, Keoni Vazquez, Kaleo Dickson-Sazon. Great Grandchildren, Amyah O'Neal, ZaNiyah O'Neal, Nevaeh O'Neal, Joseph Ettleman. Son-in-laws, Peter Flores, Craig Ettleman, Tim Aphayaraj and Jorge Vazquez. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Teresa Ternia, Margaret Domingo, Nenita Baldomero , Cherry Baes and Ian Baes, other nieces and nephews that reside in the Philipines are Baby Sazon, Ging Ging Sazon, Cora Sazon and Benji Sazon, Fred Sazon and Danny Sazon. He is also survived by his sister Leticia Baes of Guam, USA, his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Maria Dahilig of Junction City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
