SGT (Ret.) Nelson Ashley, 91, of Wakefield, KS passed away on June 20, 2018 at Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center. Cremation is planned. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Highland Cemetery in Junction City, KS.
He was born on March 3, 1927, in Paterson, NJ. In May 1972 he married Tommie Ashley, and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2009.
Nelson is survived by his Son, Nelson Scotty (Patricia) Ashley of Waldorf, MD; Daughter, Cassandra Harris of Decatur, GA; Step-children, Janice Rolls, Charles Chism, and Mildred Montgomery; and Sister-in-law, Marcelle Adams.
Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, of Junction City, KS is assisting the family with arrangements.
