Nelda Hutchinson

July 17, 1941 — March 8, 2024

Nelda A. Hutchinson, 82, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on March 8, 2024, surrounded by her family. Cremation has taken place and a private family led memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nelda was born on July 17, 1941, to Ernest and Leta (Barnwell) Reagan at Crossville, TN. She grew up in Grassy Cove, Tennessee along with her five siblings.

Nelda married Clifford Hutchinson in 1968, while they were both living in Tennessee. Being a military family, they were relocated to many places such as Junction City, Kansas, Panama, Canal Zone, Homestead, Florida, then back to Junction City, Kansas. This is where they made their home with their family until their divorce in 1991.

Nelda moved back to Cumberland County, Tennessee, where she stayed for 32 years. While there, she worked for the Cumberland Medical Center and volunteered for Threads of Hope.

In August 2023, Nelda moved back to Junction City to be closer to her family at the Moon Farm.

Nelda is survived by her daughter, Kristie (Ron) Moon of Junction City, Kansas; two grandchildren, Alexander and Lauren Moon both of Junction City, Kansas; two sisters, Glenda (Ricky) Keyes and Pamela (Carl) Dearmon; four nephews, Shea Keyes, Casey Keyes, Jerry Reagan, and Dwane Dearmon; one niece, Michelle Raburn and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded by her loving parents and three brothers, Roger Reagan, Donnie Reagan, and James Reagan.
