Nancy Sue Mcdowall

A visitation for Nancy Sue McDowall, 71, of Junction City, will be from 3 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Mrs. McDowall passed away December 10, 2011, at her home in Junction City. Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Ste. 1500, Chicago, IL 60604.

Nancy was born October 29, 1940, in New Albany, Indiana the daughter of George William and Ann Cecelia (Grady) Bailey.

She graduated from the New Albany High School Class of 1958. She was a homemaker and after her children were grown she worked as an administrative assistant and retired in 2007. She enjoyed to golf, shop, cook and enjoyed many crafts especially needlepoint.

Survivors include two sons, Kris McDowall of Jacksonville, FL and John McDowall of Junction City, KS, one daughter, Robbin Hammes of Durango, CO. She is also survived by one brother, George "Sonny" Bailey of Bedford, KY, one sister, Joyce Ann Keithly of Jacksonville, FL and four grandchildren.
