Nancy J. Sampson, 88, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on December 29, 2024, in her home.
She was born on August 15, 1936, to Hobart (Bud) and Edna (Gurtler) Champagne at Marysville, Kansas.
Nancy graduated from K-State with a degree in elementary education and used this degree to teach grade school for many years. After she retired, she worked at her husband's automobile repair shop (Sampson Auto Service). She also worked as a volunteer at museums, the Historical Society, and the ladies auxiliary at the Geary County Hospital.
Nancy liked to garden and spend time with her family and friends. One of her most enjoyable activities was singing and playing bells at the 1st Presbyterian Church and the 1st United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two brothers and their families; Richard and Ginger Champagne, Doug and Terry Champagne; two sons and their families, David and Karen Bogen, Charles and Marcia Bogen; two grandchildren, Charles P. Bogen, Allyson and Sean Hughes; one great-grandson, Michael Hughes and her kitties.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Sampson.
A family led funeral service will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place at a later date.
