Nadine R. McKay, 51, was called to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2017, in Decatur, Georgia.
She was born to Alex and Jennie L. (Hartsfield) McKay, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on May 8, 1965. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City, Kansas. Nadine was a 1983 graduate of Junction City Senior High School and a 1991 graduate of Wright Business College in Kansas City. She also attended Washburn University in Topeka. She was employed at Dental One Associates in Atlanta, Georgia.
Nadine was preceded in death by her mother, Jennie L. McKay, and brother, Deric J. McKay. She is survived by her father, Alex McKay, of Junction City, brothers, Alex McKay, Jr., of Junction City, and Eric D. McKay and his wife Dorothy, of Junction City, sisters, Bridget L. McKay, of Largo, Maryland, and Stephanie M. El Sayed, of Vicenza, Italy, one adored nephew, Mezzan M. El Sayed of New Orleans, Louisiana, and the beloved family Yorkie, Raja, of Largo, Maryland. Maternal aunts, Chris B. Gibson (deceased), Mary B. Britt and her husband, Durance, of Campbellton, Florida, and Ethel B. Ruth and her husband, John, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paternal uncles, Lee McKay (deceased) and his wife, Elizabeth, Johnnie B. McKay, Wesley McKay and his wife Ernestine, Rozell McKay, and KW McKay, all of Jackson County, Florida. Paternal aunts, Callie Young and Lillian Wilson and her husband, Joe, of Jackson County, Florida, and a host of dearly loved cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Nadine on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Junction City Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS. Graveside services will follow the memorial service at Highland Cemetery, 703 W. Ash Street, Junction City.
