Visitation for Moses Premier Cobb, III, 70, of Junction City, KS will be Sunday, December 11, 2005, 6 - 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Mr. Cobb passed away at his residence on December 8, 2005. No services will take place, cremation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Society of America, Kansas Chapter, 555 N. Woodlawn, Bldg. 1, Ste. 113, Wichita, KS 67208.
Mr. Cobb was born May 10, 1935, Kinston, NC to Moses P. and Beulah E. (Austin) Cobb, Sr.. He served in the Marine Corp for 3 years, he then joined the US Army December 2, 1958, he was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He arrived at Fort Riley, KS from Germany in 1977. He retired from the Army as a SFC February 28, 1979, he then went to work at F.W. Woolworth in Quality Control until retiring in May of this year. He was a member of the American Legion, #45.
He married Bernhardine (Tina) E. Yancy May 15, 1989, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Cobb and wife Stacy, Mark Cobb both of Georgia, two step-sons, Kenneth Steele of San Diego, CA and Antwan Steele of Lansing, KS, three daughters, Michelle (Angie) Brown and husband Ronald, St. Charles, MO, Anais Cobb and Tanya Cobb both of Junction City, KS, one step-daughter, Yolanda Taylor of MO, two brothers, Steven Cobb of CA and Herbert Cobb of New Jersey, eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Janet Cobb and his dog, "Death".
