Mildred Lois Zeigler, 89, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David Meier officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at the Round Mound North Lutheran Cemetery five miles north of Natoma, KS. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower Dr., Junction City, KS 66441.
Mildred was born February 23, 1929, in Natoma, KS, the daughter of William and Anna (Reese) Luhman.
Mildred was a homemaker. She spent many years working as a Merchandiser for Hallmark Cards.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she participated with the Ladies Circle and spent time volunteering mailing information to elderly who couldn't attend church.
She married Glenn W. Zeigler August 3, 1952, in Natoma, KS. He passed away March 15, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon Paluskas of Coopersville, MI; one sister, Carol Pohlman of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, Evan Hartley and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Zaiden; special friends Orville "Jerry" and Marlene Smith of Junction City, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, two brothers and one sister.
