Mildred Stewart

Mildred B. Stewart, 92 of Chapman passed away on December 14, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene. A private family graveside service will be held. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Chapman Valley Manor, 1009 N. Marshall, Chapman, KS 67431 or the Chapman United Methodist Church, 426 Sheeran Ave, Chapman, KS 67431.

Mildred was born October 5, 1918 in Washington County, Kansas to Anton & Frances (Kolar) Cecrle. She later married Wayne E. Stewart. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1964. Mrs. Stewart worked for JC Penny's for 28 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Regene Prilliman of Wichita, KS, Nelita Downs and her husband Donald of East Hartford, CT, Wynetta Schaffer of Wichita, KS and Diana Stewart and her husband Larry of Wakefield, KS. One son, Wayne Stewart, II and his wife Sonja of Spring, TX. Ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stewart, her parents, two sisters and five brothers.
