Mildred "Millie" Jean Pearson, 86, of Junction City, KS. passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Junction City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow the service at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to either the Alzheimer's Association or to Faith Lutheran Church.
Millie was born July 27, 1932, in Alexandria, MN. the daughter of Paul and Alice Bernice (Johnson) Angeldorf.
Millie graduated from Central High School in Alexandria, MN. with the class of 1950. She worked for the Fort Riley Commissary for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School for many years. She also served with the Lutheran Church Women. Millie was a wonderful seamstress. She made many baby blankets for friends and families. Millie also served the community of Junction City many years volunteering delivering meals to the elderly for twenty five years. Millie grew up on a farm and she loved the outdoors working in her garden and planting flowers.
She married James W. Pearson January 19, 1952, in St. Paul, MN.
Survivors include her husband James of the home in Junction City; one son, Michael Pearson of Manhattan, KS; one daughter, Alicia Martindale and her husband Jeff of Sioux City, IA; one brother, Don Angeldorf of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Margaret Quinn of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren, Jessica Jackson of Webb City, MO, Matthew Bruton of Joplin, MO, Andrew Bruton of Joplin, MO and Dawn O'Neill of Quincy, MA; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Tyee, Alyvia, Zoe and Baby Faye on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris DeLoach and Helen Krause; one daughter, Vickie Senrud; one granddaughter, Lindsey Seefeldt.
