Services for Mildred Imogene Dalquest, 85, of Lawrence, KS, formerly of Junction City, KS will be held at Johnson Funeral Chapel,Monday,October 28, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jan Kimbrell will officiate. Mildred died October 25, 2002 at Brandon Woods Retirement, Lawrence, KS, Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, 2002, 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, KS. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Center, 416 W. Spruce, Junction City, KS 66441. Mildred was born June 5, 1917, Frankfort, KS to Code and Myrtle (Blackney) Barnes. She married Emil C. Dalquest, September 25, 1938, Seneca, KS, he preceded her in death March 25, 1987. Mildred moved to Junction City, KS in 1938 where she resided until 1999 before moving to Lawrence, KS, she was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening. She was "Nanny" to her Nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Survivors: Three Sons: Conrad D. Dalquest of Waxahachie, TX, Ronald G. Dalquest and Donald D. Dalquest both of Lawrence, KS, Two Sisters: Gertrude Land of Frankfort, KS and Irene Stokes of Lawrence, KS, Nine Grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Parents. Casket bearers: Gary Blodgett, David Dalquest, Robert Dalquest, Brian Patterson, Phil Pell and Eric Spurling.
