Mike M. Orr

Mike M. Orr, 71, of White City, died Nov. 13, 2016 at his home. Mike was born March 15, 1945 at McPherson, Kansas, the son of Wilbert E. & Bonnie C. (Cutsinger) Orr. Mike attended schools in White City, and graduated from White City High School in 1964.
Mike joined the U.S. Air Force soon after high school graduation and was honorably discharged as an Airman 3rd Class.
After his military service, Mike worked as a Civilian Employee on Military Bases, first at Ft. Riley, Ks., Bremerhaven, Germany, then San Antonio, Texas as Commissary Officer at Ft. Sam Houston.
Mike was a member of the United Methodist Church in White City, and the Teddy L. Wilde Post of the American Legion, White City.
Mike married Mary Hopper on March 21, 1965 in White City. Mary survives. Other survivors include: a son, Mike M. Orr, Jr. and his wife Anita, White City; a daughter, Desiree Villegas, Boerne, Texas; brothers, Casey Orr, Marion, Iowa, and Terrial Cutsinger, Calif.; 3 sisters, Reva Dikin, Dodge City, KS, Virginia Maze, Willow Springs, Illinois, and Freda Goza, Emporia, KS; 5 grandchildren, Justin Orr, Brandon Villegas, Chris Orr, Brent Orr, and Sarah Villegas; and 3 great grandchildren, Easton Orr, Payton Orr, and John Villegas. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bill Orr and Bob Orr, and a sister, Betty Orr.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in White City with Pastor Wayne Morrison presiding. Burial will be in the Skiddy Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard from McConnell Air Force Base. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Penwell-Gabel Junction City Chapel, in Junction City. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in White City.
