Michael Stephen Lavender

Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Stephen Lavender, 48, Junction City, KS, will be held Monday, May 1, 2006 at 10:30am at St. Xavier's Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating, Inurnment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Michael passed away April 22, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorial contributions in Michael's name may be made to the family and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, PO Box 826, Junction City, KS 66441.



Michael was born December 30, 1957 in LaRochelle, France the son of Ret CSM John H. and Katherina A. (Rech) Lavender. Michael graduated from St. Xavier's High School in 1975 where he lettered in three sports. He served in the Kansas National Guard.



Michael is survived by his son Brandon, daughter Courtney and their mother Lucinda Lavender of Mesquite, TX; brothers John E. Lavender and wife Brenda of Seoul, Korea, Clayton Lavender and wife Suki of Killeen, TX; sister Myra (Sweet) Lavender Small of Monore, MI. Michael is also survived by nephews John W. Lavender and Michael Kim Lavender; nieces Alysia Lavender and Gina Lavender.



Michael's smile and kind heart will be missed by all.



Michael is preceded in death by his father and brother Cleveland Lavender of Carollton, TX.



Organist will be Anita Hernandez.
